To be called as best in playing drum, you don’t just play drums with that could amaze every one, you have to play with precision. And you have to pass a drumming exam with distinction. 

For Roseanna Gray, playing drums is more than just a play time when kids of her age go out doing something else. For this eight-year-old girl, it is one thing she is passionate of doing. 

And showing her incredible drumming skills is not enough, passing a drumming exam with grade 8 is something more that would make her as one of the best drummers. And that is a distinction she now has considering her age.

Roseanna must have inherited her skills from her dad who is a professional drummer, but at an early age she is already showing professionalism in playing drums. And here is their story.

So, Red Bull Kick-It… what’s the big idea?Each competitor has to compete in two rounds; the first showcasing their tricks, and the second, their ability to break boards with their feet. Following these dramatic displays, a champion is crowned.

So, they don’t have to kick each other?No, not at all. This is not a competition designed to discover the toughest martial artist, but the most elegant. Red Bull Kick-it was born out of the idea that tricking had become too focused on simple gymnastic moves, like flipping. Therefore, there is more onus on kicking – which is where the sport originated, through taekwondo jump kicks. The difference being that board breaking with your feet is more creative.

I can’t say that I’ve ever attempted to break through wood with my feet…Exactly, the moves that these guys have to pull to achieve that feat are simply breathtaking. Imagine trying to jump into the air, while creating enough force to break through five boards held above someone’s head. Not easy, but also extremely elegant, and showcasing all the skills needed to perfect the above disciplines.
Sounds fun, can anyone give it a go?
Well, these guys are trained and have come through regional qualifiers to make it to the finals. The 2014 finals competition was held at the end of August in Korea, so you will have to stick to practising for now. A martial arts gym would be a good place to start. But keep an eye out for regional events coming up in 2015. Oh, and be careful… kicking wood can be very painful.

A lady from HK, drowned after having a fight with her lifeguard boyfriend!

A lady from Hong Kong, drowned while swimming, after having a fight with her boyfriend -- which is a lifeguard!

A 22-year-old lady from Hong Kong was found floating into the sea, two days after celebrating her birthday. The lady named Nicole has the ambition of becoming a nail beautician. She was living together with her family at Big Wave Village, which in there she loves swimming.

Nicole and her boyfriend known each other for four years which is a lifeguard. It was recently they decided to have a house at Shek-O and live together.

That Sunday, Nicole invited some of her friends at Shek-O. Her boyfriend joined the get together party but after which the have a fight and made Nicole to leave.

After not getting home late at night, her boyfriend called Nicole parents to be aware of what happened to them earlier, about the fight and the stow away of Nicole that made her not getting home that night and ask some assistance in locating Nicole. After that morning still Nicole was not yet able to get home. But the family did not made a move to report it to the police that Nicole was missing for two days thinking that Nicole was just sulky to her boyfriend.

Hikers found a floating body over the sea, 11:00 AM the next day, so they called the lifeguard boyfriend of Nicole.

Rescuer team made CPR for Nicole, before they brought her to the hospital. But she was not already breathing and her body was already in a rigid condition. Blood exits into her mouth, and was confirmed dead at the hospital. Police investigator says, maybe Nicole swam into the sea to release her anger and displeasure... but police authority will still make an autopsy of Nicole's body to have the official cause of her death.

MANILA - A 21-year-old student was allegedly abducted by four men on a van along EDSA-Magallanes and raped by the suspects inside the vehicle.

Speaking to ABS-CBN, "Maricel" (not her real name) said she was on her way home from school at around 6:30 p.m. last September 30 when she noticed a van following her.

When the van was beside her, she said the men inside suddenly grabbed her and forced her inside the vehicle.

"Bigla po nilang hinablot yung bag ko. Akala ko po holdap kasi yung bag ko po yung kinuha. Nagulat po ako pati yung braso ko hinatak rin po nila," she said.

There were four men inside the van, including the driver, she said.

"Sinasampal po nila ako, sabi manahimik ako, ganun. Ang huli ko na lang po nakita naglalagay po sila ng condom."

She said the suspects covered her nose with a handkerchief soaked in a chemical, causing her to lose consciousness.

She said it was already around 3 a.m. the next day when she woke up in a grassy area in Malolos, Bulacan.

She was naked from the waist down and her whole body ached, she said.

A woman and her daughter helped Maricel, knowing she was raped, gave her clothes and food, and accompanied her to Monumento.

On Monday, a 14-year-old girl was also abducted by men on board a van along Kalayaan Avenue in Makati while she was on her way to school. She was also raped by the suspects.

Fortunately, she was able to escape from her abductors after the suspects stopped at a gasoline station.

According to the women and children's desk of the Makati police, they are still investigating if the same people are behind the two cases.

Police advised parents to escort their children to and from school especially if they are minors.

Police also advised commuters to use a "buddy system" especially at night.

The triple-ended serpent was born ten days ago on a snake farm in Yulin southern China, run by a breeder known only as Mr Huang.

He brought the mutant Chinese Cobra to Nunning Zoo, where it is still alive despite refusing to eat or drink.

Both of the heads have their own brain and sometimes try and move in different directions, reports the People's Daily Online.

In the past two-headed snakes have been known to attack, kill and even eat each other.

Li Keqi, from Nunning Zoo, said: "The snake has been alive for 10 days now and has been with us for two, during which time it has already changed its skin once.

"But even though the snake is stable condition now, there is no way of telling whether it will be able to live on, as it still does not eat or drink water."

The Maglev Train, the world fastest train of Japan, who breaks the world record at the speed of 581 km/hour

Japan has again demonstrated its prowess in high-speed rail travel with its state-of-the-art Maglev train setting a world record of just over 600km/h (373mph), just days after it broke its previous 12-year-old record.

the seven-car maglev - short for "magnetiv levitation" - reached a top speed of 603 km/h on Tuesday during what officials described as a "comfortable" zip along a test track near Mount Fuji.

The Lo Series train, carrying 49 Central Japan Railway employees covered 1.8 km in just under 11 seconds at over 600 km/h, the company said.

"The ride was comfortable and stable, "Yasukazu Endo, the head of the Maglev Test Centre, told the Asahi Shimbun newspaper. "We would like to continue analyzing data and make use of it in designing the cars and other equipment."

The new record came less than a week after the train reached 590 km/h, breaking its own 2003 record of 581 km/h.

the maglev hovers 10cm above the tracks and is propelled by electrically charged magnets.

But fare-paying passengers face a long wait before they can experience the thrill of travelling at speeds that surpass even those managed by Japan's vaunted shinkansen bullet train service, whose latest models whisk people between the main cities at speeds of up to 320 km/h.

There are concerns about the cost of building the infrastructure for a commercial maglev service, planned to go into operation by 2027, between Tokyo and Nagoya, 286 km away. The service, which would run at a top speed of 500 km/h, is expected to connect the two cities in 40 minutes, less than half the present journey time in a shinkansen, which celebrated its 50th anniversary last year.

By 2045 maglev trains are expected to cover the 410 km between Tokyo and Osaka in one hour and seven minutes, cutting the journey time in half.

But estimates put construction costs at nearly $100bn (£67bn) for the Tokyo-Nagoya stretch, with more than 80% of the route expected to go through costly mountain tunnels.

Despite the hefty price tag, Japan is hoping to sell its high-speed rail technology overseas as part of an attempt to revive the world’s third-biggest economy through infrastructure exports.

During his visit to the US later this month, the prime minister, Shinzo Abe, is expected to promote the construction of a high-speed rail link between New York and Washington, using Japanese technology. Reports have said Japan is willing to help finance the project.

How a Maglev Train works:

A maglev's guidway has a long line of electromagnets. These pull the train from the front and push it from behind the electromagnets are powered by controlled alternating currents, continually propelling the train forward.
